SECONDS

The beauty of handmade pottery often lies in the imperfections, a subtle mark of the maker. However, some items contain imperfections that compromise the intended aesthetic or function of a piece, and are therefore deemed second quality. Second quality items are pieces that feature minor visual or functional flaws and are therefore sold at a discounted price rather than being discarded altogether. These flaws are determined at my own discretion based on my personal vision or intention for the item.
